It just depends on how you look at it.

If you enjoy observing the city from a bird’s eye and dancing on the roof under the stars, this blog post is for you. Here is the list of the best viewpoints, sky bars, rooftop bars and restaurants, and hotels with panoramic views in Warsaw. 

Personally, I LOVE sky bars and roofs. Every time I visit a new city, I try to find the highest point in this place and to get there: be it a tower, a hill or a multi-storey car park. 

It opens for me a new perspective and gives a different feeling of the city. Spending time on the roofs and high buildings with panorama also make me think differently and take me above the routine. Moreover, these are the perfect places for spending a romantic moment with someone you like, for welcoming a new day at the sunrise or for thanking a leaving day at the sunset.  

So, today I take you to the vertiginous places in Warsaw!

It is the first sky bar in Warsaw I went around nine years ago on my first trip to Poland to fall in love with this city. The Panorama Bar is situated on the 40th floor of the hotel Marriott from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of Warsaw.

After re-opening this year, the menu in the bar improved. You will find a great selection of drinks and cocktails, however, for non-alcoholic beverages, the choice is quite small (they proposed me to choose between a virgin mojito or a virgin mojito with passion fruit :-). It  is an excellent venue for a date or for meeting friends before heading to another place to party.

It’s a perfect place to dance on the huge open terrace on the 27th floor, to observe a superb view of the city and amazing sunsets. Level 27 is very spacious club (more than 800 square meters).

You can enjoy the evening either in the indoor space with a bar, a dance floor, and a VIP zone, or in the outside area with a balcony, one more bar, a trendy sitting area with tables, and a dance floor under the stars. I had here a perfect party, and I am ready to go to the Level 27 again and again.

Please note that there is a selection at the entrance, so leave your flip-flops and a Mickey t-shirt at home and come here in a “dress to impress" outfit (and put your dancing shoes and dancing mood on!).

Into the green! It is a special place not only in Poland but the whole Europe as this roof garden impresses with its size: it covers the area of more than 10,000 m2. 

Come here to take fresh air while enjoying a beautiful view of the city and the River Vistula. Explore the rare plants in the garden or just bring with you some food and have an unforgettable picnic.

"The wedding cake," "Pekin," "The elephant in lacy underwear," as the Varsovians call it, the Palace of Science and Culture dominates the skyline in central Warsaw and is the symbol of Warsaw.

It’s really worth to check out what is inside: it's quite impressive how many things it houses (cinemas, theaters, libraries, museums, swimming pool, cafés, disco and sports clubs). 

And if you want to observe the city from four different directions, take an elevator to the observation deck located on the 30th floor of the building.

The terrace is open untill the late evening, so you can come here to enjoy the sunset.

You can also sit and have some coffee while doing so; there is a café at this level.

To get the most of your Palace of Culture and Science experience, join the guided tour to the hidden interiors of this controversial building.

During the tour, you will learn why the Palace of Culture and Science is the subject of dispute among the Poles and the most recognizable symbol of Warsaw. You will hear the local stories: the origins of the Warsaw uprising, anecdotes and curiosities.

The guide will take you to the most famous rooms in the Palace, from thematic rooms to viewing terraces that are open for visit only with a guide.

At the end of the tour, you reach the observation deck on the 30th floor with the stunning views of Warsaw. The entry ticket to the viewpoint is included in the tour.

The best view of the Warsaw Old Town Square you will find at the Warsaw Museum. It is located in a beautifully restored building right at the Old Town Square. 

It is worth spending a few hours on a visit, and it will certainly be the time not only pleasant but also useful as you can learn a lot about the history of Warsaw. 

At the entrance, you receive a multimedia electronic guide that will lead you through the exhibitions. 

In addition to the rich and very interesting collection of exhibits, the museum on the top floor has so-called "lighthouse" or a public viewing point. 

From here, you can enjoy a unique view of the Market Square and surrounding tenements and their roofs.

An admission ticket to the museum costs PLN 20 and is valid for two entries within a month.

I had a lovely stay at the Novotel hotel and could enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets from my room. There is no sky bar on the last floor, but there is a gym where you can exercise and observe Warsaw from above.  

It is a four-star hotel with very reasonable prices for a room with a view. Located in the center of Warsaw, Novotel is a great place to stay for exploring the city. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Breakfasts there are delicious and include both hot food and continental breakfast items. A great deal for the price: around 100 euro per night, and they often have promotions. 

Taste the "high life" at the Bar 13! It is an elegant place for a drink or a business meeting with a beautiful view of the clouds and the roofs.

In addition, it has an attractive lunch offer: for 59 zlotych you get 5 high-quality modern cuisine dishes in degustation portions. Each dish will be a surprise because before ordering you will only receive the list of 3 main ingredients without knowing what would be the final gourmand creation.

What more?

The choice of drinks and cocktails is wide, and the staff makes you feel a VIP :)

The View is called this way, not by accident. The view which opens from this club located on the 32d floor is truly amazing and you can observe the city in a 360-degree panorama. The scenes from a height of 122 meters will remain long in your heart. 

It's a stylish venue with a strict selection at the entrance: you have to look fancy to enter. If you want to make a photo session here with a professional camera, unfortunately, it will not be possible. They didn't let me in with my Nikon to take some sunset shots. On the other side, you are very welcome to take selfies and put sophisticated hashtags :-) A big part of the guests here seems to take it quite seriously.

So, come to The View to have a drink at sunset and then stay for dancing till the sunrise. You can party here with the best Polish and international DJ's who will offer you the cocktail of deep house, techno, tech-house or groove.

Only 150 stone stairs to the very top of the tower – and you will discover a stunning panorama of the Old Town! Words here are superfluous. Just come and enjoyyyy the view!
